HOCKEY: Luton ladies edged out in thriller


Luton Town HC Ladies were edged out in a nine-goal thriller with Leighton Buzzard in the Five Counties Premier Division, losing 5-4.
The visitors found themselves 3-1 down at half time, but hit back to make it 4-4 thanks to goals by Suzanne Starkey, Clare Philby, Kerri Stinton and Charlotte Dunham.
Leighton then notched in the last five minutes to win 5-4
Luton Town men’s side were held to a 0-0 draw by Welwyn Garden City.

Hide AdTown started off slowly but grew into the game and created better chances in the second period, although couldn’t capitalise on them.
