The visitors were forced to concede the match as a result of their inability to meet the league requirements of the necessary number of front row forwards.

With second-placed Long Buckby losing 14-12 at home to Northampton Casuals, Park have now leapfrogged their rivals and moved four points clear of third, with just six games remaining.

This Saturday, Park play Bedford Queens in the semi-final of the Bedfordshire Cup, while their next league action takes them to basement side St Neots in a fortnight’s time.

Dunstablians were without a game at the weekend as they stayed in fifth place.

They are also in cup action on Saturday as they travel to Bedford Swifts, before a return to the league sees them visit leaders Oundle on March 5.

Luton RFC came close to only a second London One North win of the season, as they were edged out 21-16 by Barking at the weekend.

The result did see the Newlands Road side pick up a losing bonus point and they now host 11th placed Chingford this weekend, in search of only a second league win.
