Raiders defeat Scorpions

A very low scoring first period saw Genting lead 16-9, before Scorpions tried to take advantage of Gentings’ poor perimeter shooting by stifling any scoring opportunities on the interior.

This strategy worked well for a while, but Raiders gradually found their touch as, in the space of 45 seconds, Vivian Lee hit back-to-back three pointers to put his side in control at 37-25.

The third quarter was the pivotal period as some exceptional ball movement and interior play from Raiders finally began to wear down the stifling Stevenage zonal defence, as they took it 21-13 to lead 58-38.

Genting maintained their momentum though to run out 77-50 winners.
