Dunstablians’ Murphy in World Club 7s action
Dunstablians’ Joe Murphy was selected for the Gilberts WC7’s Barbarians to face the Army in the World Club 7s at Twickenham on Saturday.
Fifty hopefuls showed off their skills at London Wasps’ Twyford Avenue training ground in London last Sunday under the watchful eyes of England flanker Tom Rees and England sevens stars Tom Mitchell and Callum Wilson.
Murphy was one of 12 players selected by the judges to become the ’13th team’ at the World Club 7s.
Players got the chance to fill in for any injured players on other teams while also taking on the British Army at Twickenham.
