Park were helped greatly by another powerful all-round performance from former skipper and lock forward, Michael Powell, who proved a constant thorn in the side of the home team.

The visitors opened the scoring when right wing Alex Harnett finished off a good team move to touch down out wide.

Full back Jason Carr converted with a fine kick from the touchline, before further Park pressure saw influential number eight, Ben Griffin, barge over for their second try.

St Ives kicked two penalties, but Stockwood’s left wing Ieuan Beale responded himself, making it 15-6 at half time.

The hosts started the second half powerfully and soon scored a try of their own to reduce Park’s lead to just four points.

A yellow card to Griffin and injuries to Tom Edmonds and Rob Rose caused some disruption before Park took control again with a further try from Carr, converted by Beale.

On the final whistle an excellent end-to-end team try was finished off by Beale.
