TENPIN: Great Scott wins award

Houghton Regis ten-pin bowler Lorna Scott recently won the Sports Achievement Award at the Network @ Dunstable 2013 Business & Community awards.

Scott is a pupil at Queensbury Upper School, and has been bowling since the age of six.

She trains at Dunstable’s Gobowling and had a great 2013 where she was first in her age group at The South Coast Junior Challenge in Havant.

Scott also came first in her age group at The South of England tournament in Singles and All Events and second in Doubles, Singles and All Events, plus first in Doubles at The Junior Nationals in Coventry.

Scott wasn’t finished there as she is the Bedfordshire Ladies County champion, and also came second in Doubles at the British Junior Open in Nuneaton and won gold at the World Sports Festival in Vienna.
