NGYT CIO launch new classes for a new year
The organisation recognises that every young person is different and that traditional performing arts environments do not always work for everyone.
Luton’s very own Next Generation Youth Theatre CIO is expanding its programme of performing arts classes for ages 3–25, alongside its SEND offer as well as upcoming auditions for its award-winning Theatre & Dance Company.

With an ever-growing team of experienced teachers and industry professionals, Next Generation Youth Theatre (NGYT) is continuing its mission to provide high-quality, accessible performing arts opportunities for young people across Luton.
NGYT’s work is about much more than learning lines, dance routines or preparing for a performance. At its heart is a belief in the transformative power of the arts to develop confidence, creativity, communication, resilience and a genuine sense of belonging.

The organisation’s expanding timetable gives children and young people aged 3–25 the opportunity to explore theatre and dance in a welcoming environment, whether they are completely new to performing arts, looking to build their confidence or hoping to progress their skills towards professional training and performance.
Local experience meets professional expertise.
A key part of NGYT’s growth has been its ever-expanding teaching team.
The organisation brings together practitioners with strong local experience and professional industry credits, giving young people the opportunity to learn from teachers who understand both the Luton community and the wider performing arts industry.

That combination of local knowledge and professional experience is central to NGYT’s approach. The organisation wants young people to have access to ambitious, high-quality training without feeling that they need to leave Luton to find it.
For those considering a future in the creative industries, NGYT’s teachers can offer insight drawn from their own professional experiences, while for those who simply want to perform, make friends and grow in confidence, the classes provide a supportive space to do exactly that.
Inclusive opportunities for young people
NGYT is also continuing to develop its SEND offer, ensuring that young people with special educational needs and disabilities can access creative opportunities in an environment designed around inclusion, participation and individual needs.

The organisation recognises that every young person is different and that traditional performing arts environments do not always work for everyone. Its SEND provision forms part of NGYT’s wider commitment to making the arts accessible and ensuring that young people have opportunities to express themselves, develop skills and experience the joy of performing.
Auditions for NGYT’s award-winning Theatre & Dance Company
Alongside its weekly classes, NGYT is also looking ahead to upcoming auditions for its award-winning Theatre & Dance Company.
The company provides an opportunity for young performers who want to take their training and performance experience further, working as part of a dedicated ensemble and taking on ambitious creative projects.
The auditions will offer young people the chance to become part of a company recognised for its work in theatre and dance, while gaining further experience of the discipline, collaboration and creativity involved in producing high-quality performances.
For aspiring performers, it represents another important part of the pathway NGYT is building from taking a first class at a young age through to developing as a more experienced performer and potentially progressing towards further training or a career in the creative industries.
Alumni proudly span across the industry on West End stages & screen.
Whether a young person wants to perform professionally, discover a new passion, make friends, develop confidence or simply have somewhere to belong, NGYT’s expanding programme aims to provide a place for them.
With new classes across Luton, an expanding team of teachers, dedicated SEND opportunities and auditions on the horizon for its award-winning Theatre & Dance Company, NGYT is continuing to invest in the next generation of Luton’s creative talent.
Classes are available for ages 3–25, with the latest timetable and full class information available online.
