You may know Whitbread as a brewery but times have moved on and the FTSE 100 company is now a hospitality industry giant.

With brands including Premier Inn, Beefeater, Brewers Fayre plus Bar + Block in its portfolio, it has more hotel rooms than any other company in the country with a workforce of 30,000 employees.

Whitbread is excited to announce it’s now offering the opportunity for five apprentices to join its Support Centre, the company’s headquarters based on the Luton and Dunstable border.

Earn while you learn

The five roles are in Human Resources (HR), marketing, property and data science departments. Apply now and you could be starting in your new position as soon as October 2023.

Resourcing Partner Michelle Michaels said: “We are looking for five future leaders from the local area, who will bring a fresh look, enthusiasm and new ideas to our well-established business.

“These Support Centre apprenticeships will give you the chance to earn while you learn from the best at a FTSE 100 company that’s right on your doorstep.

“We are looking for local talent. The apprenticeships offer a real alternative to university and will fast track your career opportunities. For example, the apprentice in the property acquisitions department will be helped on their way to becoming a chartered surveyor. All of the apprenticeships are industry recognised and all are permanent roles with a great salary.”

The apprenticeships will give you the experience you need to set you on the path to your dream job, whether that is becoming a data analyst or marketing manager.

You will work in a real business environment across the firm’s leading brands and complete your apprenticeship with a degree-level qualification.

Whitbread’s founder Samuel Whitbread began his working life as an apprentice before setting up the company in 1742. It’s had a rich tradition of launching careers ever since.

Whether that means designing hotel rooms, training teams, choosing the best location for each of its sites or developing new menus for restaurants, everything leads back to improving their guests’ experience at their hotels and restaurants. And that all starts at Whitbread Support Centre, just down the road!
