Motown night out for Keech

Fuschia Burton, 24, of Stopsley, is holding the event at the Hat Factory on Saturday, April 23, she wants to give sixth form students the chance to showcase their talents and raise money for the hospice.

The student, who is in her third year at Middlesex University, said: “It feels fulfilling to organise an event which is positive within Luton.

“I chose Keech because it does a lot for people in Luton, they rely on public funding and I hope this event can help them to support many children, adults and families that use the hospice.

“I wanted to incorporate music into this event as it is one of my passions and I wanted to give local students and musicians the chance to showcase their talents for a good cause.

“I am looking forward to the event and I am glad I can bring something positive to Luton and raise money for Keech.”

There will be live music and a raffle from 7pm.

Caron Hooper, corporate partnerships fundraiser at Keech Hospice Care, said: “We are delighted and thank Fuschia for choosing to raise money for Keech Hospice Care.

“As the adult hospice of Luton and South Beds and the children’s hospice of Bedfordshire, we support 576 families across the county.

“Many people are surprised to hear Keech Hospice Care is a charity and we rely on our community for 70% of our funding for our survival.

“Everyday across Bedfordshire, our nurses and specialist teams are out across the country supporting seriously ill adults and children in the hospital, school, or family home, wherever support is needed most.”

Tickets are £8.50 for adults and £4 for students and under 18’s, they can be purchased through the Hat Factory box office.
