Pubgoer assaulted in street

Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Dunstable on Sunday, 25 October.

A man was pushed to the ground in West Street, at the junction with Chiltern Road, after leaving the Victoria pub at around 9pm.

He suffered minor injuries to his face and hands.

The offenders, believed to be male, attempted to steal items from the victim’s pockets but were unsuccessful.

They are then thought to have run off in the direction of Chiltern Road.

PC Dale Ashpole, investigating, said: “This was a violent attack which took place when it is likely other people were in the area. I would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously around this time.”
