Luton went down to a 5-1 defeat against title-challengers Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The Hatters conceded early on when Daiki Hashioka scored an unfortunate own goal, although it took them an hour to double that lead, Mateo Kovacic on target in the second period. Erling Haaland then converted a penalty, before Ross Barkley pulled one back with 12 minutes left, only to see Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol find the net late on. To find out how the Town players rated on the day, see below.

On with 15 minutes to go as he was on for his 400th Luton appearance, becoming only the 11th player in the club's history to achieve such a feat. Almost scored with one of his first touches as well, hammering into the side-netting as he was on the field for Town’s consolation, only to see City net a further two afterwards. Photo: Matt McNulty

Came on with a few minutes to go as the teenager earned his second Premier League outing, getting stuck in to win a tackle and prevent City mounting another attack. Photo: Liam Smith

Although most Hatters fans will look to blank the 5-1 defeat from their memories fairly quickly, for the young defender, it will be a game that will stay with him forever, as he came on the final few moments to make his long-awaited Premier League debut. Photo: Liam Smith
