Chart-topper band The Wanted wow Love Luton crowds
CHART-topping boyband The Wanted wowed hundreds of screaming fans last night as they headlined the opening night of this weekend’s Love Luton Festival.
An estimated 3,000 fans saw the band, made up of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes, top the bill at Popes Meadow where they belted out chart hits such as Glad You Came, Lightning and Heart Vacancy.
Councillors and organising staff including Colin Chick and council leader Councillor Hazel Simmons partied in a VIP circle at the front with The Wanted joined on the bill by fellow boyband Lawson and Levi Roots of Reggae Reggae Sauce fame.
The festival continues today with former X-Factor star Olly Murs and grime artist Skepta among the headliners.
