Young careers take flight at London Luton Airport
Apprenticeship applications are open as London Luton Airport (LLA) prepares to welcome its next cohort of local talent.

The apprenticeships aim to provide the launchpad for the next generation of aspiring aviation professionals and are open to local people aged 18 or over and living within LU1 – LU4 postcodes.
Highlighting the diversity of career pathways to choose from at the airport, applications are invited for Level 3 or Level 4 apprenticeship programmes across Marketing and Communications, Human Resources (HR), Technical Services and Project Management.
The apprenticeship programme has been developed in close collaboration with Bedford College and online provider LDN Apprenticeships.
LLA’s revamped apprenticeship programme launched in September 2025, as the airport welcomed apprentices across its Guest Experience, Digital Marketing, Health and Safety, Commercial, IT and Sustainability teams.
Nik Jones, HR Director at London Luton Airport, commented: “From airfield operations, through to security, guest experience and vital back-office support services, we’re able to offer an incredibly broad range of exciting career pathways at London Luton Airport. Our apprenticeships are designed to provide talent from our local area with both the launchpad to a new career, and the platform for genuine long-term progression. The programme demonstrates the airport’s commitment to education and skills development, as well as building strong, clearly defined links between education, entry-level career access and workforce development through structured pathways. I would encourage anybody who is looking for the excitement of a dynamic, exciting and fulfilling career in aviation to apply and see where LLA could take them.”
The apprenticeships form part of LLA’s Classroom to Careers programme that provides skills development and education workshop opportunities to local schools and community groups. The programme is delivered by the LLA community team, working alongside airport volunteers and Luton Council’s Children, Families and Education team.
