Teen arrested after fireworks set off towards people at Luton display
A teenager was arrested after fireworks were set off towards members of the public and emergency service workers at the end of a display in Luton.
Bedfordshire Police described the incident, at the end of the Marsh Farm fireworks display last night (Thursday) as “disappointing.”

The force confirmed today (Friday) that a male teenager, who was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker after fireworks were directed at them, has been released with bail conditions.
It added that while there were no injuries, the “dangerous” behaviour meant they had to step up patrols in the Moakes area of the town, and issue a dispersal notice in the area.

Officers also stopped and searched seven people – resulting in two fireworks being seized, one illegal electric bike being seized and several dispersal notices being issued.
In a statement, police described the dangerous use of fireworks as “unacceptable” but praised the majority who behaved responsibly and created “a great community atmosphere.”
"It was a fun family event which went well and had a large turn out,” police said.
“Thank you to everyone who attended and celebrated responsibly, you helped make the organised event something Marsh Farm can be proud of.”
