Men's volunteer group makes bike rack for Dunstable shopping centre
A new wooden bike rack providing spaces for six cyclists has been built by volunteers at Dunstable Men in Sheds for the town's Quadrant Shopping Centre.
The rack has been handcrafted by members of the 30-strong group based at Meadway Allotments in Dunstable.

Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard MP Alex Mayer is due to put the finishing touch to the project by attaching a brass plaque recognising the volunteers' work next week.
Ms Mayer said: "It's good to see something made by local volunteers being put to practical use in the town centre.
"But what impresses me most is what happens inside the shed. They're not just building things for Dunstable, they're building friendships too. That's worth celebrating."
The bike rack will provide six additional spots for cyclists to park in Dunstable town centre, as part of the latest in a series of projects completed by Dunstable Men in Sheds, whose work can be seen across the town.
Members have previously built a handrail for Priory Church and make the trophies for the annual Dunstable in Bloom competition.
However, the group says its work is about more than woodworking, with its workshop providing an opportunity for people to socialise, learn new skills and build friendships.
Based at Meadway Allotments, the group particularly welcomes men aged over 55, although anyone interested in getting involved is welcome.
Co-chairman Tony Knock said age was no barrier, with the group even counting a member in their nineties among its regulars.
He said: “Our members have worked hard on the bike rack, so it’s great to have their efforts recognised.”
With the group approaching its tenth anniversary next year, members have also been upgrading their workshop and equipment.
Funding from Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, the Whitbread Chairman's Fund and the Co-op has helped the group invest in a new band saw, allowing it to take on more projects.
