Naive Monty asked to stop
CRICKET: ‘Naive’ England spinner Monty Panesar has been told to stop his net sessions with Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
The Lutonian conducted a private session with Tendulkar prior to England’s 196-run first Test victory over India at Lord’s last week.
Coach Andy Flower though has asked Monty Panesar to stop, saying: “He did bowl to him in the nets before Lord’s and I think that it is quite a naive thing to do. I haven’t spoken to him yet but one would hope he understands that it won’t happen again.”
