Beaconsfield showed some life towards the end of the first half, but rarely troubled Kyle Forster’s goal.

The second half continued with Barton having the edge, but they didn’t add to their tally until the 80th minute, when Nat Peacock took advantage of keeper James Redding’s terrible attempted clearance to slot home.

Beaconsfield proceeded to crumble and conceded twice in the dying moments of the game as Peacock latched on to James Edgerley’s sublime through ball to add his second with four minutes to go, before substitute Keshi Anderson rounded the keeper to score with a minute left as Barton completed a comprehensive victory to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Boss Dan Kennoy said: “It was a polished performance from us today built on the foundations of another solid defensive performance from the back four and goalkeeper.

“We knew Beaconsfield, having scored six in two games, would be a test for us but we didn’t give them a sniff all game.

“Natty took his goals well and is getting sharper every game and I’m pleased Keshi came on and grabbed his first senior goal for the club.

“We now go into Monday’s local derby with good form and confidence, but like I say it’s a local derby and we need to be up for it otherwise all the hard work goes down the pan.”

Meanwhile, Rovers’ reserves enjoyed a super 7-1 win at Harefield United in the Suburban League North Section.

Barton are home to Leighton Town today (Monday), entertain Ampthill Town in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Saturday and are home to Aylesbury on Tuesday week.
