Cobblers FA Cup draw suits Town’s defensive duo

TOWN’s players are full of optimism they can progress in the FA Cup after being drawn against League Two side Northampton Town in the first round proper last Sunday, writes Mike Simmonds.

The Cobblers have struggled all season and are 18th in the division, just four points above the relegation zone.

Hatters defender Janos Kovacs said: “That was one of the best ones we can have, a local derby against a League Two side.

“We cannot say they are easy games, but we have a very, very good chance to win that one, so hopefully we can do that in the FA Cup.”

Meanwhile, full back Curtis Osano added: “We’ll fancy our chances. Anything can happen in the FA Cup.

“It’s a local derby, Luton and Northampton, they’re in the League and we’re not. It’s a chance for us to show that the players we’ve got here, personally I believe are better than being in the Conference.

“It shoud be an entertaining game.”

Tickets went on sale this Tuesday to all supporters, while season ticket holders have until Tuesday, November 7, to claim their season ticket seat.
