Departing defender turned down a host of clubs
MUCH-SOUGHT after centre-half Zdenek Kroca revealed he turned down a number of other options to sign for Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock on Thursday, writes Mark Wood.
The giant Czech defender rejected a new contract offer to stay at Kenilworth Road to move north of the border and disappointed numerous other clubs in the process.
It had been believed that the 30-year-old defender was seeking a move back to the Czech Republic, but in the end Kilmarnock’s offer proved too tempting.
He said: “It’s another step in my career and I am looking forward to hopefully what will be a successful season.
