Doubts over Rendell’s Torquay return
Hatters striker Scott Rendell’s move back to former club Torquay United appears to have fallen through.

The 27-year-old, who netted 13 times in 41 games during a loan spell in the 2009-10 season, had been on trial with the Gulls, along with former Town winger Danny Stevens.
The diminutive Stevens looks set to sign, but the Torquay Herald Express are now reporting Rendell will not be joining him.
Prior to the news, United boss Chris Hargreaves had said: “I’m really happy to have both Scott and Danny on board. I know all about them, it’s another chance for both of them and they make us stronger.”
Meanwhile, Luton boss John Still said: “I think we may find that one or two things happen between now and the end of the window.”
