Luton Town reached the Premier League last season after beating Coventry City on penalties in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.
They became the 18th side to do so following the second tier being rebranded from the First Division at the start of the 2004-05 campaign.
To find out just how those teams have got on in their first campaign as a top flight, check out the gallery below.

After defeating Aston Villa 1-0 in the final, the Cottagers couldn’t stay in the Premier League after a terrible away record saw them win just once on the road, losing 16 out of their 19 matches. It meant they finished a fair 10 points away from safety, going back to the Championship with Huddersfield and Cardiff. Photo: Alex Broadway

6. 2017-18: Huddersfield Town - 16th
A penalty shoot-out win over Reading took the Terriers up and they surprised a number of sides by staying there, four points away from the drop zone in the end. A good home record was key, beating Man United and Newcastle, with three precious away wins, plus five draws on the road to ensure they had a second successive campaign in the top flight. 7. 2016-17: Hull City - 18th
Having beaten Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley, it looked at one point like Hull were in with a real chance of staying in the top flight. Although winning eight in front of their home fans, including defeating Liverpool, like many, a poor away record of one win and 15 defeats saw them finish third bottom, six points away from Watford. 8. 2015-16: Norwich City - 19th
Defeating Middlesbrough 2-0 in the final the previous season, Norwich continued their yo-yoing between the top two divisions. The Canaries lost 13 of their last 19 top flight matches, with just four wins, to end up second bottom on 34 points, five behind Sunderland, who managed to stay up that term. Photo: LINDSEY PARNABY
