Luton suffered a 2-0 defeat against an upwardly mobile Cardiff City on Tuesday night after falling to a quickfire second half brace. Harry Wilson put the visitors ahead on 53 minutes, while Will Vaulks then added a second just moments later as Town couldn't hit back. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
5. Dan Potts (STAR MAN): 7.5
Excelled in the first half as he managed to get up above the towering Moore on a number of occasions, while repelling a host of City corners away. Looked full of positivity going forward too, overlapping Naismith whenever possible.
6. Kal Naismith: 7
First league start and busied himself impressively on the left hand side in the opening 45 minutes, linking well with Potts. Outjumped by Flint in the build-up to Cardiff’s opener and came off at 2-0 with Luton committing more men forward.
7. Glen Rea: 6.5
Had been an influential figure in the centre of midfield during the first half as he managed to contain the threats of Wilson and co. Injury to Pearson saw him drop into the back-line though and that saw the visitors take control.
8. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 7
Found it hard to really get on the ball in the first half as Cardiff stopped Luton enjoying any kind of possession. Tested Phillips with one free kick and put another right on to Hylton’s head but the striker couldn’t hit the target.
