Luton suffered a cruel 2-1 defeat against Burnley at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.
After Lyle Foster put the visitors ahead on the stroke of half time, it looked like Town had rescued a point when Elijah Adebayo netted with six minutes to go, only for the Clarets to immediately win it through Jacob Bruun Larsen’s wonderful curler.

5. Amari’i Bell: 6
Starting his seventh Premier League game in a row, it was real surprise to see Town's Mr Dependable having to go off after just 21 minutes having suffered a hamstring injury. Unlikely to feature against Spurs now as an overdue rest during the upcoming international break might do him some good. Photo: Liam Smith

6. Alfie Doughty: 7
Once more he was the main creative outlet for Luton, with another seven key passes on the evening, as he should have had more assists too, with a number of dangerous crosses put wide by his team-mates. Showed some good positioning to win his headers as well at the back, while involved in a laughable moment that saw Roberts throw himself to the floor in a bid to get the wingback booked, which thankfully failed. 7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 5.5
Second start in the space of a few days for the long-serving midfielder but wasn’t able to add a home Premier League win to his scrapbook. Another who found the Clarets method of play tough to get to grips with, outmanoeuvred too easily at times, particularly for the first goal, getting his pressing slightly wrong as Burnley went straight through the middle to score. Improved after the break as he kept the ball better, one lovely left footed cross almost leading to a goal for Brown. Photo: Marc Atkins

8. Marvelous Nakamba: 6
After the way in which he managed the midfield at Goodison Park it was an out of character below par showing from the Zimbabwean in the first half as Burnley were able to have the better of things in the centre of the pitch before the break. Did step it up after half time as Town took the initiative, but gave the ball away cheaply on occasion, conceding some unnecessary fouls as well. Photo: Warren Little
