To see how the Hatters rated during what was an emotional and downright wonderful afternoon at Wembley Stadium, see below.
9. Jordan Clark (STAR MAN): 8.5
Absolutely terrific display from the midfielder, who looked at home on the big stage, becoming the ninth man to score for Luton at Wembley. First touch to die for and then a left-footed drive that arrowed past Wilson gave Town the lead as Wembley erupted. With players dropping like flies in the second half and then extra time, he was still looking as fresh as the first minute, always trying to break and get Luton away when the contest was stretched. Wonderful penalty in the shoot-out. Photo: Liam Smith
10. Elijah Adebayo: 8
First 40 minutes, both he and Morris were far too hot for the Sky Blues to handle, causing all kinds of problems. Wonderful driving run bamboozled McFadzean as he twisted him this way and that before finding Clark to make it 1-0. Should have scored himself, skewing a volley wide, and then when he did find the net, it was a clear handball. After the break, City dealt with him much better, as Luton's threats were limited. Carried on until half time in extra time before Taylor took over. Photo: Liam Smith
11. Carlton Morris: 8
Striker was such a handful for the City back-line during the first period as they just couldn’t hope with the double threat of the Hatters' forward pairing. Might have scored himself, hooking a volley wide and then saw a low drive blocked away. Battled on manfully as he appeared to be moving less freely in extra time, but still able to carry the fight to City. Cool head gave Luton the perfect start in the shoot-out too. Photo: Liam Smith
12. Reece Burke (SUB): 8
Deserves the utmost credit for being able to come on so early in place of Lockyer, but then also turn in the kind of display that he did with barely any football under his belt in recent weeks. Up against one of the division’s finest, he won his headers and made his clearances, limiting Gyokeres to the odd potshot as he ensured Town were up to the task defensively on the biggest stage going.
