Luton Town were somehow beaten 3-2 by 10-man Plymouth Argyle at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.
Having fought back from trailing twice thanks to penalties from Jerry Yates and Nahki Wells, the visitors then had skipper Joe Edwards sent off after 50 minutes. Despite playing for almost an hour with a numerical advantage, the Hatters still left empty handed when Jordan Clark's clearance rebounded into the net off Bradley Ibrahim late on. To find out how the Town players rated on the day then see below.

9. Zack Nelson: 5.5
A mixed bag for the academy graduate as he went on one mazy run in the first half that saw the young midfielder show strength and skill to beat two men and fire in a shot that was turned behind. However, on the stroke of half time, he crucially lost possession just outside of his area which saw Ibrahim pick his pocket and then rifle into the net to put the visitors ahead once more. Probably should had won another spotkick for Luton in the second period when he went over under a challenge from ex-Hatter Brendan Galloway, but it was waved away and involved in Argyle's winner, his deflection clawed away by Keeley only for the rebound to go in. 10. Lasse Nordas: 5
Kept his place for a fourth straight game as with the Hatters having fallen behind, he won a penalty when on the receiving end of a strong-armed aerial challenge inside the box from Wiredu. His height caused the odd problem for the visitors in the opening 45 minutes, but not always on the same wavelength as strike partner Yates, the ball not quite sticking as he would have wanted, meaning Town weren't able to really send too many shots actually at the Pilgrims' goal. Replaced by Wells at the break in one of two changes made by Bloomfield. Photo: Liam Smith

11. Jerry Yates: 6
Up and running in the league now for Luton as he confidently rolled his penalty beyond Ashby-Hammond to level the scores and make it 1-1. Put in plenty of effort and linked the play fairly well when dropping deep, not wasting too many passes, but the Hatters weren't able to create the kind of clear-cut opportunities he needed to add to his tally. Change of partner in the second period as Wells replaced Nordas but the closest he came was when seeing his instinctive volley fly over the bar from a deflected cross. Photo: Liam Smith

12. Nahki Wells (SUB): 6
Having only been on the pitch for a minute or so, he immediately had the chance to open his account for the Hatters when Town were awarded penalty number two. Held his nerve well to do just that, sending Ashby-Hammond the wrong way for his first of the season. Had another attempt that was well handled by the visiting keeper while a late header flew off target too as the Hatters were unable to net a late leveller. Photo: Liam Smith
