The hosts led through Alex Gilbey’s unbelievable attempt from range, before Town levelled in the second period through Jordan Clark, only to then concede a penalty that Aaron Collins netted. To find out how the Hatters rated on the day, see below.

13. Emilio Lawrence (SUB): 5.5
Introduced with 15 minutes to go on the left flank, he was unfortunate to see Luton almost instantly fall 2-1 down to Collins' penalty. Tried to influence proceedings afterwards, doubling up with Naismith as Town got the ball out wide as often as they could. End product was sadly lacking though, the on-loan Man City winger curling well over the bar on his right foot, having cut in to create some space in which to do so. Photo: David Horn

14. Devante Cole (SUB): N/A
Forward was part of a triple substitution made with six minutes left, as tried to score a spectacular leveller with an audacious overhead volley, but sadly saw it fly well wide of the target. Photo: David Horn

15. Jake Richards (SUB): N/A
One of three who entered the fray with six minutes to go, charged with trying to rescue a point for the Hatters, but despite getting on the ball and looking to make things happen, the visitors left empty-handed. Photo: Jane Russell

16. Izzy Jones (SUB): N/A
Another who had limited time on the pitch to try and help Luton rescue a point, as there was a feeling that he could have been introduced earlier and in a more advanced position with the visitors having plenty of the ball. Photo: Jane Russell
