Luton ended an almost 50-year wait for victory at Preston North End on Saturday as they picked up a fine 1-0 victory. It looked like the spoils would be shared until late on when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's effort from Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu's cross was superbly saved by Daniel Iversen, only for the keeper to divert James Collins' follow-up over the line. To find out how the visitors rated on the afternoon, see below.
9. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu (STAR MAN): 8
Looked the best player on the field from early on and kept up an impressive level of performance with some high class passing. One effort deflected narrowly wide, as his top quality cross led to the only goal and sprung Nombe away late on too.
10. Harry Cornick: 7
Got through plenty of running in support of Adebayo but although Town had the upper hand they couldn’t quite turn that into goalscoring opportunities. Made way late on as Luton pressed home their advantage.
11. Elijah Adebayo: 7
Gave the home defence something to think about as he had one bright moment in the first half blocked and then saw his towering header well saved by Iversen. Occasionally went for goal when others were better placed though.
12. Tom Ince (SUB): 7
Had a good impact as got involved immediately with some lovely control and a shot that was blocked. His ability to receive possession allowed Luton to turn one point into three late on.
