After breaking through the ranks, Boyce spent six years with the Hatters, helping Town win promotion to the old Division Two in 2001-02, before moving to Crystal Palace in July 2004. However, who would he select in his all-time best XI from players that pulled the Luton shirt on with him? The Luton News looks at just who made the final cut.
9. MF: Jean-Louis Valois
A match-winner on his day. Give him the ball and more often than not, a goal scoring opportunity will happen. His dribbling ability was excellent/ A real crowd pleaser.
10. CF: Steve Howard
Big, strong, old-fashioned striker who was very, very good technically. Scored goals and was a handful for any opposition defenders.
11. CF: Tony Thorpe
The goal machine. Could score a goal out of nothing. With his tricky feet and close ball control, give him half a chance and he would find the back of the net.
