Luton Town appointed Rob Edwards as their new manager earlier this month following previous boss Nathan Jones decision to leave the club and head to Premier League side Southampton.
The Luton News takes a detailed look at the career of the former Wales, Wolves and Blackpool defender in a special picture gallery below.
5. First full Dragons start
Defender made his full Wales debut in the 4-0 international friendly win over Scotland at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in February 2014 as Rob Earnshaw grabbed a hat-trick, Gareth Taylor also on target. Photo: Richard Heathcote
6. Sent to the Wolves
Signed by Wolves in July 2004, as then manager Dave Jones agreed to shell out £150,000 for his services. Made his debut in a 2-1 Championship defeat to Stoke City in August 2004, going on to feature 18 times for the club that season. Photo: Laurence Griffiths
7. Breakthrough season
Main breakthrough year for the defender as he played in 49 league, cup and international games as Wolves finished just a place outside the play-off berths in seventh. Also featured against Manchester United in the FA Cup as the Red Devils ran out 3-0 winners during their fourth round clash at Molineux. Photo: John Peters
8. Injury and play-off woe
Was having another fine campaign with 39 matches for club and country as this time Wolves did reach the play-offs. However, they were beaten 4-2 on aggregate by West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion, Edwards not featuring in either semi-final leg, his season ended by knee ligament damage during a 6-0 defeat at home to Southampton in March.
