Luton Town appointed Rob Edwards as their new manager earlier this month following previous boss Nathan Jones decision to leave the club and head to Premier League side Southampton.
The Luton News takes a detailed look at the career of the former Wales, Wolves and Blackpool defender in a special picture gallery below.
9. Last international clash
Edwards' 15th and final Wales cap came in October 2006 as Jason Koumas, Rob Earnshaw and Craig Bellamy scored in a 3-1 Euro Championships qualifying win over Cyprus in Cardiff. Photo: Stu Forster
10. Injuries, goal and Wolves exit
Recovered to start the season for Wolves but then suffered further knee ligament damage during a reserve game in September 2007 which kept him for another lengthy period. Back in the latter stages of the campaign, he scored his one and only goal at the 110th time of asking for Wanderers in a 4-2 home defeat against Stoke City as after playing in the 3-3 draw with QPR, he was placed on the transfer list at the end of the campaign. 11. Trip to the seaside
Left Molineux in August 2008 to join fellow Championship side Blackpool on a two year deal for an undisclosed fee. Quickly made captain and played 37 games in total, scoring twice, his first goal coming at Bloomfield Road against his former Wolves team-mates during a 2-2 draw in December. Photo: Mark Thompson
12. Promotion to the Premier League
Played 26 times in league and cup during the 2009-10 campaign as Blackpool won promotion to the Premier League under boss Ian Holloway via the play-offs. Came off the bench in the semi-final second leg 4-3 win at Nottingham Forest, but didn't get on in the 3-2 victory over Cardiff at Wembley. Photo: Ryan Pierse
