Hatters assistant boss Terry Harris has urged winger David Martin to stake a claim for a recall to Town’s first team during his time at Dartford, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 28-year-old joined his former club on a month’s loan this week after struggling to break into the side at Kenilworth Road this season.

He made his second debut for the Darts during their 5-1 home thrashing at the hands of Wrexham in the Skrill Premier last night and has also been cleared to play in the FA Trophy.

Harris said: “Dave hasn’t been getting many minutes of late and we just felt that it would be a good time for him to go out as we’ve got a busy time coming up.

“Hopefully he can get some games under his belt and come back flying for what is a busy time for us.”

Harris didn’t expect many more players on the fringe of things like Solomon Taiwo to leave the club in a similar deal though.
