Miller not ready for loan move just yet

Hatters striker Ricky Miller won’t be sent out on loan just yet according to boss John Still.

The ex-Boston forward had been linked with a move back to his former club this week, but when asked whether he had considered such a deal, Still said: “No, because Ricky Miller has been injured.

“He played a game on Wednesday, so he’s not ready to go out and play just yet.

“He’ll fall in that category of going out and not being quite ready and maybe getting another injury or that injury again, so he needs another weeks’ training, before he’s ready to go out.”

If and when Miller is ready, the Still also confirmed he would look for a move into the Conference ahead of a return to Boston as he added: “I’ve not really give that any thought.

“We’d want him to play as high as he can, so we’d probably try Conference National first.

“If something didn’t work there then perhaps we’d have a look at the other options.

“But it’s got to be something he’s comfortable with as well as us because he’s got to go there and produce good form.

“It’s possible, but not something I’m worried about just yet.”
