The Hatters are currently 12 points clear of the relegation zone, but suffered a humbling 3-0 defeat at the hands of Norwich City last weekend to bring to an end an unbeaten run of three matches.

By contrast, Swansea picked up a massive three points after they converted a 97th minute penalty against Middlesbrough on Saturday, but suffered a minor setback in midweek when they dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.

And Prutton believes that they will endure a similar fate this weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: “A week feels like a long time now in the Championship, and Luton will have to shake off that defeat at Norwich last week and remember their good results beforehand.

"They are 12 points clear of any form of danger, this season has been a phenomenal success so far for Luton.

“Another point picked up for Swansea thanks to another Andre Ayew penalty!

"They are still finding a way to pick up points even when they are not at their best, because at their best they are a fantastic side to watch.”

Prutton forecasts another 1-1 draw.

Swansea ran out 2-0 winners when the two sides met back in December, but Luton did manage to take something from City in a clash towards the end of last season.

James Collins was on target in a 1-0 win at the Liberty Stadium in June.
