Transfer-listed Town defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner is relishing the chance to play football again after scoring a loan move to Skrill Premier rivals Alfreton Town on Monday night, writes Mark Wood.

The 23-year-old joined Nicky Law’s Reds until January 2 on transfer deadline day and the former Leicester and Torquay man admitted it had been an easy decision to make.

He said: “It was pretty much straightforward. Once they said they wanted to take me on loan I was happy to join and just want to play games.

“It’s what it’s about really and it’s just nice to be given the opportunity.”

Rowe-Turner, who can play at both left-back and centre-half, made 48 appearances since moving to Kenilworth Road last summer.

He revealed other clubs had shown an interest in him, but that this was the only move that had come to fruition.
