Hat-trick of club titles for Dunstable Downs’ Sutton

Robert Sutton won the Dunstable Downs GC Club Championships for a third time in a row over the weekend.

He produced two fantastic gross scores of 66 and 66 on Saturday for a total of 132, which was eight under par for the day.

Dave Taylor shot rounds of 73 and 71 for a total of 144 and second place.

It’s the fourth time Sutton has won the club championships and his next big tournament is the County Champion of Champions at Woodhall Spa on September 15.

Sutton, who plays off a handicap of plus four, will be representing Bedfordshire in this competition, which is run by the England Golf Union for all the county champions of England.
