Luton U10s make Amersham & Chiltern final

Luton U10s exceeded all expectations by producing some fantastic rugby to reach the final of the Amersham & Chiltern Development Festival at the weekend.

The youngsters faced Maidenhead RFC in their opening game and hit the ground running with a 30-15 victory.

Donal Creaven grabbed a hat-trick, Keelan Coleman scored a brace, while Harvey Hart who also touched down.

Next up was Henley RFC, a tough encounter, which saw Luton run out 10-5 victors, as Hart and Coleman both scored a try each.

The last pool match against Ruislip RFC would decide who would make the final, with Luton triumphing 10-5 win, tries coming from Creaven and Coleman.

In the final, Luton faced their hosts Amersham & Chiltern, with both teams unbeaten during their pool matches.

A courageous Luton side were edged out 10-5 in a pulsating match that could have gone either way, Creaven getting his side’s only try.
