Mid Beds Swim Squad swimmers shine in Coventry

Mid Beds Swim Squad, sponsored by LV=, travelled to Coventry’s Olympic-sized pool to compete in the Graham Sykes Open Meet and came away with a large medal haul and a huge number of personal bests.

The squad was in contention for the top club award throughout the meet but was just pipped at the post by a much larger club from Boston.

James McFarland, 12, from Harlington won two golds, one silver and one bronze and set two personal bests, while 10-year-old brother Edward secured three bronzes and five PBs.

Lutonian Ben Sarsfield, 13, came away with one gold and three silver medals and achieved three PBs as he finished third in his age group competition.
