Luton Town HC were beaten 4-2 at home by Potters Bar in East Men’s League Division Two South at the weekend.

Luton IIs were beaten 4-1 at Bedford IVs in Division Four South West.

The IIIs lost 5-1 at St Albans VIIs in Division Seven South West, while the IVs won their penultimate game 2-0 against already promoted and champions Hertford IIIs in the same league.

Goals either side of half time from Perri D’Cruz and captain Phil Bright secured the triumph, thanks to an outstanding display from keeper Kailum Mistry.

The ladies were deserving 2-1 winners over Bishop’s Stortford in their Five Counties Women’s League Premier Division meeting thanks to goals from Hayley Huckle and Suzanne Starkey.

The result saw the ladies finish in third, level on points with second place Leighton Buzzard and a point behind champions Welwyn.
