A magical evening at Cutenhoe Hill as Peter Pan delights Luton families

Cutenhoe Hill Primary School and Nursery welcomed children and their families to a free performance of Peter Pan on Saturday, October 17, in partnership with M&M Productions and Parktown TARA (Park Town Tenants and Residents Association).

The event was a fantastic, fun-filled experience for all, bringing adventure, laughter and much-loved characters to life. Audiences were amazed by the talented team from M&M Productions, whose four performers not only played all the characters but also managed the scenery changes, music and lighting throughout the show.

Joe Maclellan from M&M Productions said: “The group really enjoy performing at new venues because you never know what to expect. We absolutely loved performing at Cutenhoe Hill Primary School and Nursery. The atmosphere was amazing and the children were so engaged and respectful. It will be a joy to return next year.”

Ben Taylor from Parktown TARA, who helped facilitate the production, thanked everyone who attended and supported the event.

He commented: “It was very obvious that everyone was really enjoying themselves. We would like to thank M&M Productions for their wonderful pantomime and Cutenhoe Hill Primary School and Nursery for providing their school hall free of charge. We are already looking forward to planning a bigger production in 2027.”

The school has already received some wonderful feedback from parents, highlighting just how much the event meant to local families.

One parent shared: “I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and the staff for giving up your time to organise Saturday's show. The panto was lovely, funny and entertaining. We all had a wonderful time. Our daughter especially enjoyed it and was calm throughout the whole performance which was amazing to see. Thank you for making it such a special experience for everyone.”

A second said: "Absolutely fantastic, I can't believe I didn't have to pay for the tickets"

Another parent summed up the excitement, saying: “Absolutely fantastic treat for everyone! Thank you so much to the school for organising; we are still buzzing.”

Following the success of Peter Pan, Cutenhoe Hill Primary School and Nursery hopes to facilitate even more free events for its families throughout this academic year and beyond. The school is committed to creating opportunities for children and their families to come together, enjoy new experiences and make lasting memories.

The pantomime was yet another wonderful example of the benefits of being part of the Cutenhoe Hill Primary School family.
