Eaton Bray composer shares exciting new updates in James Bond music campaign

Following a feature in April marking an independent campaign to get her custom-tailored James Bond theme proposal, Burning Stars, noticed by the 007 franchise, Eaton Bray composer Elaine Masters has shared some positive new developments in her journey.

While navigating the entertainment industry as an independent artist presents plenty of hurdles, Elaine’s persistence over the last few years has started to open up some very exciting doors.

Her campaign has recently expanded into the gaming landscape. Elaine is now in dialogue with industry figures including Olivier Perbet, the Chief Marketing Officer at IO Interactive—the acclaimed studio who have developed the highly anticipated Project 007 First Light video game. Following a zoom call conversation exploring how Burning Stars might fit into the franchise’s evolving multimedia landscape Olivier invited Elaine to the world premiere launch of 007 First Light at BAFTA London.

Alongside the gaming discussions, the project has also picked up musical interest. Elaine recently connected back with the management team for global vocal icon Susan Boyle. Her manager has kindly confirmed that Susan has a high interest in performing the track once its formal placement within the Bond universe is secured. Elaine initially reached out to the global superstar after being advised a recognised commercial vocal artist would be a professional step forward by Brent Harvey HIMA.

Elaine was incredibly excited to attend the high-profile BAFTA event to advance her industry connections—especially with the hope of crossing paths with iconic Bond composer and fellow Lutonian David Arnold—as she actively expands her outreach to legacy creators within the franchise's musical history.

"It can be a long and sometimes frustrating process trying to get your music heard at this level," Elaine said. "But seeing these pieces start to align makes all the hard work and patience worth it.
