The Pioneer Learning Trust has delivered a masterclass in its mission of pursuing excellence and equity following the release of a phenomenal set of Year 6 SATS results in Lewsey Farm. Pupils and staff at Chantry Primary Academy and Southfield Primary Academy did not just clear national benchmarks—they soared past them, firmly demonstrating the Trust's mission - Pursuing Excellence and Equity.

Driven by aspiration and quality, two of the Trust’s core values - these results showcase the power of the Trust's vision for high-achievement in an inclusive values-based ethos.

At Southfield Primary, an incredible 91% of Year 6 pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing, and Maths combined, placing the academy in the top 2% of schools nationwide. "I am incredibly proud of the hard work, passion, and relentless dedication of our staff, who have brilliantly applied our curriculum principles to deliver these exceptional outcomes," said Sarah Baldwin, Headteacher of Southfield Primary. "Seeing 91 per cent of our year group achieve the combined standard is a direct reflection of our firm, unwavering belief that 'Every Child Can' and with 100% of our disadvantaged pupils achieving the expected standard and 60% reaching the higher standard in reading, our focus on 'High Quality Literature' has clearly paid off."

Matching this standard of excellence right across the Lewsey Farm community, Chantry Primary Academy secured a magnificent 80 per cent of children achieving the expected standard in all areas, positioning itself in the 89th percentile. Reflecting on these inclusive achievements, Noshin Hussain, Headteacher of Chantry Primary Academy, highlighted the impact of their shared ethos: "By bringing our mission of Pursuing Excellence and Equity to life right here in Lewsey Farm, our educators have shown what is possible when high aspirations meet deep collaboration. I am so proud of our pupils, particularly our disadvantaged cohort where 78% hit the combined standard, proving that when you create a supportive environment, absolutely 'Every Child Can' succeed and thrive."

Both outcomes comfortably eclipsed the national average of 63%. High academic quality was evident at Chantry, where 20% of pupils reached the higher standard combined, far ahead of the 8% national benchmark. Subject level performance across both sites was equally stellar, with Reading expected standards hitting 98% at Southfield and 88% at Chantry, while Maths reached 97% and 87% respectively.

True to the Trust’s commitment to Pursuing Excellence and Equity , Pioneer’s disadvantaged cohorts completely shattered the historical national trend, blowing past the national average for all children nationwide, proving that, with the right conditions and educational provision there really is no limit to what children can achieve. In both schools children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) outperformed their peers nationally with Southfield's SEND cohort outperforming all pupils nationally.

Pioneer Learning Trust CEO, Cori Bateman, summarised the collective triumph and looked ahead to the future: "This success belongs to our entire community, and we look forward to sharing the proven, high-impact strategies used at Southfield and Chantry across the Trust to improve outcomes for every child we serve. With a firm foundation of integrity and mutual respect, the Pioneer Learning Trust is proving that when a trust collaborates effectively around shared values, the sky is the limit."
