Full of surprises at every twist and turn, the gardens provide a stunnng setting to play in, whatever the season.

Running from Monday to Friday throughout the holiday, children of all ages can become a Home Front Hero and be put through their paces at Wrest Park.

They’ll be invited to fall into step or it will be basic rations – a fun way to discover Wrest Park’s secret wartime past with this hands-on experience of soldiers on the front line.

And there are 90 acres of glorious gardens - a fitting place to look for signs of early snowdrops in the woodland areas as well as in the borders of the Walled Garden.

There are dazzling parterres and fragrant borders, sweeping landscapes and woodland walks – Wrest Park is a real treat for the senses incorporating French, Dutch, Italian and English styles side-by-side.

There are several hidden gems, including the Bath house with its thatched roof and cobbled floor inlaid with a pattern of deer bones, an ornate marble fountain, a Chinese temple and bridge and more than 40 statues.There is also the playground, cafe with seasonal dishes and Wrest Park shop for unique gifts, making it an ideal day out for all the family.

Soldiers School takes place from 11am to 4pm from Monday February 16 to Friday February 20.
