AFC will start against FC Broxbourne

AFC Dunstable will begin their Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division campaign at home to newly-promoted FC Broxbourne on Saturday, August 8, after the first two fixtures were announced this week.

This will be the second season in a row that AFC have faced a promoted side in their opening game after playing Sun Sports last season, winning 5-3.

The game may be switched to Broxbourne though if Dunstable Town open up with a home fixture in the Southern League.

AFC’s second match will be against Biggleswade United at home on either Tuesday, August 11 or Wednesday, August 12.

In the league cups, Steve Heath’s side have been handed a home tie against Wembley in the Challenge Trophy.

They will then visit Cockfosters in the Premier Division Cup.

Meanwhile, the club will be running 21 boys teams along with an Early Years Academy, five girls teams with a 4-6 year old Academy and three disability teams at youth levels this year.
