Hatters linked with a move for out of contract Falkirk midfielder
Town reported to be showing an interest in Tait
Luton Town have been linked with a move for out of contract Falkirk midfielder Dylan Tait.
The 24-year-old started his career with Raith Rovers, signing his first senior contract in 2019 and making his debut in the 1-1 draw against Montrose at the end of the campaign. The following season he made 20 appearances, scoring his first goal in the 5-3 victory at East Fife, as the Stark's Park side won the Scottish League One title.
He then moved to Scottish Premier League side Hibernian in August 2021, loaned back to Raith Rovers, now in the Championship, making 31 appearances. Tait was then loaned to fellow second tier side Kilmarnock in January 2022, playing seven matches, as he was borrowed by Arbroath in September 2022 for the campaign, featuring 21 times in total.

From there, the former Partick Thistle youngster went to League One side Hamilton, making 25 appearances, then snapped up by Falkirk in January 2024. He helped The Bairns win the League One title and the Championship title in successive seasons, as last term he played 47 matches, including 38 outings in the Scottish Premier League, but having played 104 times, netting 13 goals, is now a free agent
A report in the Daily Record stated that Tait is now interesting a host of English clubs, including the Hatters, as it read: “Falkirk remain in contract talks with midfielder Dylan Tait. The midfielder is set to become a free agent at the end of the month. The 24-year-old is wanted by English League One sides Barnsley and Plymouth Argyle, while Luton Town could also come into the equation. (Manager) John McGlynn is still trying to get him to extend his stay with the Bairns.”
