Gottfrieds in top 10

Luton minigolfers Richard and Emily Gottfried competed in the Planet Hastings Crazy Golf Club Open, a three-round tournament played out over 54-holes on the three seafront miniature golf courses in Hastings, East Sussex.

Over 20 players competed with Emily finishing in tied sixth place with fellow Great Britain international, Freddie Blackburn-Shaw, after both players scored 112, while Richard finished four shots back in joint 10th.

Emily said: “Playing on three courses in one go is a challenge, as all three are so different, so I was really pleased with how well I played and very happy with sixth place.”

Richard said: “I had a nightmare round on the Adventure Golf course and couldn’t buy a hole-in-one on the Pirate course. My round of 34 on the Crazy Golf course wasn’t too bad and was good preparation for the forthcoming World Crazy Golf Championships.”

Next up for the duo is a return trip to Hastings for the World Crazy Golf Championships at the end of the month.
