Treble triumph for Barton bowlers
THREE Barton bowlers reached the final of the English National Triples final sponsored by PFL Ltd which were recently held in Worthing.
Rhys Lee, Steven Mead and skip Luke Nunn, who have been playing together for 10 years, qualified for the event by reaching the final of the Bedfordshire Championships.
Following victories against Berkshire, Durham, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Warwickshire they finally fell at the last hurdle, losing 16-14 to a triple from Bideford.
The three, together with Ron Worsnop, also had a run to the quarter-final in the Fours Competition while Lee and Nunn won two rounds of the Pairs.
